68 wt 400 complet and running
 

i traded for a nice running 67 lemans last week. it had a 400 put in place of the 326. i assumed someone had just thrown in a later 400 when i was working the trade out which was fine because i was looking to put my 67 400/467 motor in its place. i dont have any info on it since it was put in by the owner before last. what i did find was that it is a 68 400 wt block with #16 heads, that my guess is original to the block. i havent checked the date code but the intake maybe original to the motor too. it has the 68 timing cover on it that i would imagine is also original. runs great, 60# oil pressure hot just off idle, hot idle 25-30 # in gear. runs 180°. no noises, doesnt smoke. the only thing i found wrong is a leaky vc gasket.

i plan to leave it in as long as possible so it can be heard running. i dont need this motor living on an engine stand lol.

$1,500.00 complete carb to pan minus the brackets. timing cover and water pump included. it is drop in ready.

edit to say, this motor has a new qft 600 vac secondaries carb that would go with it

lol...the good thing is, if it dont sell itll end up in the garage on a stand, stripped down n painted and waiting for the next pontiac to show up.
