I had the same problem so I used a 2" Fan Spacer...

I pulled them out and they were about 3/4 gone. However I just went on to eBay and bought 20 of the 6mm X 6mm X17mm I will let you know if they work.

I pulled this out of a doner 68 lemans it's a removable 8 track player Magic-tone can't find anything on the WWW. It has the ability to be hooked up either to a pos or neg ground any help?

Yes tapping would be a better word. It goes along with the rpm if the rpm is higher the tapping is faster.

I thought it could be spark knock but when I pull the plug wires the tapping is still...
