Anybody use a Saginaw Tran. for their 400 ci GTO?

I have a line on getting a rebuilt one cheap with Hurst shifter/linkage. I know their not a tough as a Muncie or Borg. :noidea:

72 YS 400 ci Pontiac engine question.

Whats the ball park price to have this engine rebuilt and want to get anywhere from 300 to 400 hp out of it? Right now it's only rates at about 230 HP stock. Thanks for any input. Longtime reader...
