Thank you very much. It is a console shift but I will still look for some bare wires. That sounds reasonable.

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
I am using a 10 amp fuse. I have a voltmeter that registers about 14 when the engine is running with lights on.
I haven't changed any alts, etc.

Can someone help me diagnose an electrical problem with my 71 Lemans Sport?
The radio works fine when the key is in the ON position. When I start the car it may stay on or immediately blow a fuse....

Can anyone give me some help with my 71 pontiac Lemans Radio problem? The radio works fine, the speaker works fine when the car is not running. When I start the car, the radio may blow a fuse...
