Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up buying the Ram HD with the Hays steel fly wheel. I guess I'll be able to up the HP now.

I also checked out the Hays as a prior poster mentioned. The Hays 85-110...

428 clutch needed-Recommendations?

I've got a '68 428-4 in my '68 GTO. It's hooked up to a M-20 Muncie. My clutch just won't hold the torgue anymore. It's close to 450 HP with the work that's been done. I won't be building it up...

I might have to go bigger like you guys. I just put on Nitto street slicks 275/50R15s and I can't get them to hook up if I nail it at 60+. But I still love the torque.

Thanks 68gtoMN. That makes sense to me now. It's nice to know what the stock motor was. It's a moot point anyway since someone along the way dropped a 428 in her.

If #3 and #4 were codes for the stock 350 and 350 HO, and #6 and #8 were the codes for the 400, my question is where does the #5 come in? It should be either 3, 4, 6 or 8. There is no #5...

My '68 GTO has a 428-4 that currently has stock exhaust manifolds. It's hooked up to a Muncie 4-speed.
