Closing intake exhaust crossover

I am getting my 64 engine ready to paint and am thinking of closing the exhaust crossover to keep the paint from burning off. I only drive it in warm weather but don't know how much this might affect...

Need a explaination on the 6X heads. What's the differences? I understand some have the number 4 stamped on them. Where? Why. Aren't they all the same? Thanks

Chrome plating

Where can I get some small parts plated that doesn't cost my first born and a small ransom. Looking for a nice job. Not a show piece. Car is a driver.

Good luck to you brother. I though my 65 looked bad when I started on it, and all I had to replace where both quarters and the floor from the firewall to the rear bumper. Everyone said I was crazy....

Got the shifter back together. Piece of cake. I printed copies of the pictures & instructions and put them in my manual. I put it in the car today and it's as smooooth as glass. Can't wait to try it...
