I used a 750 pound one when rebuilding my 455. It sagged when I added the heads and accessories but it held up.

I have one in my 455 with a really high geared...

I have one in my 455 with a really high geared rear aand it has tons of torque. Idle is about the same as a stock cam.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably make the frame part of the mount using 1/4" plate and square iron.
