Tim, I couldn't agree wtih you more. Luckily most every thing else on the car is done, or at least as done as it's going to get any time soon. Hadn't done anything to the motor previously 'cause it ran so well.
Now that Christmas is passed it's time to start buying the parts. Going to do the chain, oil pump, rear seal and cam and lifters. Does anyone have recomendations? It is a regularly driven car with TH400 and A/C. The rear has 2.78 gears that I plan on keeping for now anyhow (I do a fair amount of highway driving). I'm looking for something with good torque that doesn't completely die on top end.
The Summit 2800 has been suggested. Anyone use this cam? Thanks for the help.
