The disc brake assembly I recieved was pre-assemled and suppose to bolt right up to the ball joints. The caliper brackets, however, do not seem to allow the caliper to sit correctly on the drivers side assembly. After bending the brackets a bit, and trying to square up the caliper pins so they are perpendicular to the rotor I was able to get the calipers on. The drivers side outer brake pad just barely was able to be inserted. It fits flush and does not seem to rub on the rotor that much.

The assembly on the other side (passenger side) had about 1/8 inch more clearance on the outer brake pad during installation.

The manipulation of the caliper braket on the drivers side that was required to enable it to accept the caliper and pads also caused the brake pads to sit about 1/16 inch closer to the center of the rotor hub.

QUESTION: Will the position of the front disc brake pads located 1/16 inch closer to the center of the rotor disc cause noticeable difference in grab compared to the normal passenger side disc brake assembly?
