Dens71TA-
here are pictures of the lower metal valance you asked about. These pictures came from the lowest milage(18,000) survivor 1970 RAIV left. Matt (PY's screename Tellyhavilli) bought it from the original owner and sold it to the guy in Alberta Canada where I flew to see for an inspection. Notice the original design of the lower spoiler, didn't use the 3 long center mount bolts with the 1" long spacers. Plus I added a few more interesting pictures. Notice the extra ground strap on the passengers front side of the carb to ground the air cleaner/scoop.

Plus the yellow/black vacuum break used on 1970 RA Quadrajets, unlike the dual port metal ones used on regular 4 bbl 1970 Firebirds.

. Also, notice the throttle cable bracket.....it is black phosphate, not silver as we see so often.....that one suprised me.....
This car is absolutely untouched. Only work ever done was the drivers side head was replaced under warranty with a SR 614 head(date code visable) It was pretty neat to inspect. The stripes were crooked, there were paint runs, panels mis-fit/aligned etc etc etc .. It was just neat to see how sloppy these cars were originally put togather, especially compared to how nice and neat we all restore our "prized cars".....
