Considering the cost to upgrade to an OD trans or Gear Vendors, you might consider upgrading the TH-400 with a low gear set and dropping the rear gear ratio back to 2.73-3.08. About the same on the starting line with lower rpm's for "normal" driving, etc.

A LOT less money and still excellent street performance with lower cruising RPM's....Cliff
