This car is a Pontiac plant car, and they did build for at least another 3 weeks after 06D, so I would think there has to be some G dated stuff out there for 68.
Scott, see this thread regarding convertibles that have funky dates (engines after cowl build date, etc...) We may have stumbled onto something regarding the building of convertibles whereby the body was completed at one point and the drive train added later.
