The 400 is about 125-150 lbs. heavier so the front springs may need help if they're marginal already.

Yeah, the tranny is not my worry. He installed a B&M shifter for a TH350, so I have to assume a TH350.
Which chepy headers? Are they easy to install? You know how much I LOVE headers..
