I sand blast all parts, then cook them in the zinc phosphate solution till they stop fizzing and soak them in WD-40. You can get the stuff from a number of places. I believe its the same a pakarizing, you can even make your own with steel wool and some other stuff but I chose to buy it. I will give you a more accurate description tomorrow when I get the reciepe out of my shop.

John, the 3 piece trunk worked out pretty well. I did have some other trunk pieces but Mike thought it was best to go with the new stuff, I believe he was correct.
