I recently installed the ES-12 in my 65 GTO with great success. It's simple to install, no vacuum required. My system is overcharged and I haven't yet released some of the refrigerant, but even so, it cools quite well to 48 degrees with outside temps in the mid 90's. It likely will chill to high 30's or low 40's when the correct amount of refrigerant is in the system.
I have gotten mostly negative feedback from site members who haven't used it to my understanding, but claim it's dangerous, explosive, etc. I can't foresee those problems with the small amount (20 oz) in my system. Hey, to each his own. I've been messing with cars for 50+ years and don't anticipate any problems.
