The 81 Recaro seats are some of the coolest seats ever made! I actually bought a pair of 79 Mustang Recaros to restore the passenger side 81 seat. The bottom was so rotted it literally crumbled apart. Oddly enough the material was perfect, even the netting in the headrest! I took some pics, the first one is all that remained of the seat base. The 2nd pic is the Mustang base.

Thanks man. The paint came out OK. Theres obviously things that I would have done differently now that I have done it (we all know how that works) but I'm happy with it for now. I'm thinking in the next year or two I'll be stripping it down again. I still haven't decided what I will do for a color.
