Phenolic spacers, isolate the carb from the intake, and don't use a big drop base filter housings that trap heat. That helps a lot with the carb boiling. Helps. You can even wrap the bowl with a sheet of insulation/shield if you choose.
Or go EFI. We're not the only folks suffering, Pontiac folks, everyone else is suffering too. That's why there are so many offering retro fit kits.
