My buddy and I were out cruising as every Southern California teenager did in 1966, and we kept passing these two girls always heading in the opposite direction. After several misses I made up my mind that we would catch them. Tried a little too hard and got a ticket for failure to yield on a U-turn. That ticket should have been an omen, but I missed the warning. After finally getting released from ticketing, we pulled into the A&W to console ourselves. Girls were leaving as we pulled in, but this time we caught up with them. That was the beginning of the end of my single life. We've been married 48 years and counting. 5 kids, 8 (going on 9) grand kids, and 1 great grand child.
