Six years in the military and 20 years of racing motorcycles ... I'd been hurt a few times before.. so it wasn't all out panic ... first phone call ... my boss to tell him I'd probably miss work tomorrow, then my wife ... works at the hospital, then 911 .... who could not find my house, so hung up on them, called my wife back to come get me.
My dogs thought it was great fun, blood everywhere, me running around trying to do things
Another pic ... they were kind of mangled.
The green things are rubber bumpers on the coat hanger thickness SS wire that runs through the center of all the bones up into the hand. They where getting hung up on things. You can just see the cross wires sticking out sideways on the knuckles ... this wire ran cross ways through all the knuckles.

Well I am just happy for you they were able to be reattached. My best friends dad when we were little kids chopped off two fingers while trying to take a jam of sticks out of a gas powered hedge trimmer. he just cussed once or twice picked up the fingers and went inside. His wife got home from the hospital where she was a nurse and caught him with popsicle sticks and you guessed it, duct tape. She took the fingers put them in a ziplock wrapped in wet paper towels and put some ice in and forced him to go to the ER. One finger could not be pit back on as it had been crushed too badly but it was only one joint down and the other they put it back on. Good for you that you kept your composure, that's a scary injury.
