Oh yeah, lots of hospital involved. Five surgeries to get them reassembled. However, when I first did it and pulled off the glove, and the parts fell out all strung together like fettuccine I seriously thought about taping them all back together ..for like one second ... that felt like a minute

Six years in the military and 20 years of racing motorcycles ... I'd been hurt a few times before.. so it wasn't all out panic ... first phone call ... my boss to tell him I'd probably miss work tomorrow, then my wife ... works at the hospital, then 911 .... who could not find my house, so hung up on them, called my wife back to come get me.

My dogs thought it was great fun, blood everywhere, me running around trying to do things

Another pic ... they were kind of mangled.
The green things are rubber bumpers on the coat hanger thickness SS wire that runs through the center of all the bones up into the hand. They where getting hung up on things. You can just see the cross wires sticking out sideways on the knuckles ... this wire ran cross ways through all the knuckles.

Azure Window

Quote:
The Azure Window natural stone arch, Gozo, Malta

Limestone covers most of Gozo, one of the three populated islands in the Maltese archipelago. Mediterranean waves relentlessly pound against the shore, carving dramatic cliffs—none more striking than those that form the Azure Window. The natural arch was created when two sea caves collapsed, leaving a relatively thin horizontal ledge as a bridge between the mainland and a tall stone outcropping.

Rock continues to fall from the underside of the arch at a rate that suggests it will collapse completely within just a few years. Given the unstable conditions, posted signs warn visitors not to walk over the top of the arch, but most any day will find thrill seekers catching the dramatic view up close—while they still can.

Well I am just happy for you they were able to be reattached. My best friends dad when we were little kids chopped off two fingers while trying to take a jam of sticks out of a gas powered hedge trimmer. he just cussed once or twice picked up the fingers and went inside. His wife got home from the hospital where she was a nurse and caught him with popsicle sticks and you guessed it, duct tape. She took the fingers put them in a ziplock wrapped in wet paper towels and put some ice in and forced him to go to the ER. One finger could not be pit back on as it had been crushed too badly but it was only one joint down and the other they put it back on. Good for you that you kept your composure, that's a scary injury.

Default Dying the Chicago river emerald green

A St. Patrick Day tradition! They change the sanitary and ship canal better known as the Chicago river from it's usual algae green into an emerald green

Anybody know the difference between an Irish wedding and an Irish funeral?

One less drunk at the funeral!

Hey K, take a close look @ this '57 Chebby w ALL Pontiac running gear including 8-lugs

Description

QUOTE from ratfunkracing
My current project in 1981. My grandfather worked for Boomershine Pontiac in Atlanta for nearly 50 years. My father worked there for 26 years. We had a lot of Pontiacs.

This was my father's daily driver for many years, then my brother got it and painted it.

It had a '70 455, TH400, '57 Pontiac rear end, 8 lug wheels and a Hurst dual gate from a GTO.
