Per a Chilton's repair manual (anyone remember those)dated 1973, for 1966 GTO 389 breaker gap is .019, the plug gap is .035 (AC44S).
Per the AMA Specifications sheet in my 1966 PHS documentation, breaker gap is .016, and plug gap is .033 - .038, same plug
