The back to back test results yes. Maybe best to ask Dick if there is track testing too.
I do know the back to back tests influenced him to go ahead and build the new motor and let Bill spec the heads etc.. Heads on new combo are ported(Bills cnc "Max cast" version...*most you could go without welding on original castings) and NOT the heads tested in the back to back tests.

New cv1.1 castings can accomodate even larger ports(if needed) Bill developed without welding.
