The problematic water pump was normally the culprit for both.
The head gasket issue is fixed with a modern felpro style gasket - not an OE (victor reinz) gasket...
i haven't had any issues with a water pump...
timing chain problems are typically because the chain was worn out, not set properly, or the tensioner crapped out...
