I think the factory set up for the 69 TH350 has a cable that comes thru the firewall then connects to the gas pedal. There's a special clip on the cable for adjustment.
You can get a later model cable/bracket set up & use that if you're not worried about originality.
I think I have one off of a 71 that I can get a pic of tomorrow.
