This is a fair and valid point, and I agree that some more info from OP would be helpful to paint the full picture. However, from my experience with various large scale automotive projects over the years, many of these frustrations could be easily mitigated by simply telling customers what is going on. Can't get parts due to supply chain hiccups? Let the customer know and chances are they will be fine waiting. But leaving customers in the dark and not providing updates when you say you will is something that I don't put up with anymore. Communicating what's going on and fulfilling obligations is something that I have to provide to my colleagues every day in the professional world, and I expect the same from a business I'm paying money to. Fortunately, it's pretty low bar and it isn't that difficult to find someone who will keep their customers/clients informed.
