Since this will be more of street ride now I'll post here. Have a set of MT covers or these.
These are beginning to look more Chebby to me??
Is it just me?😕

Looks like a pontiac to me. Finned covers were always a popular addition on every engine made. I think it looks just fine.

Troy, They look like Cal Custom valve covers. I know your a dual carb guy but to me a 60 looks more at home with a tri power. Arapaho is a great car, glad you kept it.

I like them to. Right now I'm using stock valve covers with a 1" spacer. I found DCI has a 4" tall cast alum. in the shape of the stock valve cover that look good chromed. I will check into those.

Personally, I don't like the 50's period, hotrod-look valve covers on 60's-70's musclecars. It seems like a step backwards.

Guess I'll hang with the Cal Customs for a while...Looks good with supporting cast in place.....and they clear the Poly-Locs..
I hear ya Bob Jones on the Tri-power......But I sold all my Tri-power stuff...
But bigger motors need the quads... You should have kept the ole Wenzler ..
I found some breather extensions to use. I don't like the the oil drips on the finned covers...
Hope this motor will pull some 13's...

Troy, That pic you posted today looks much better with the carbs installed. What long branch exhaust manifolds did you use and is that the angled oil filter adapter.

Carbs do look good !!! 😊
Long branches and angle filter adapter are factory stuff.
Going 2.5" all the way back. 3" would be tight.
Had them forever.

I like my Micky Thompson Valve covers. They to are painted like you have your Cal Cutomes are. When first paainted & the blue is nice & bright they loook greate, right now mine need a little touch up. I'm going to 2, $'s also this year & when I get ready to put it up for teh winter of 15-/16 I'm going to install Fuel Injection.
