Dick Fulton's CV-1 Engine makes 1095HP !!!
... i would like to thank everyone involved in this build, but most importantly Dick Fulton, for allowing me the opportunity to show what these heads can do, and I'm very thankful for that ...
... we made 1095hp @ 8000 and 757 ft.lbs @ 7100 rpm, with good power past the peaks, we ran the engine well over 8k most of the day and pulled to 8500rpm several times and the engine never blinked, we did have some minor leaks that kept the vacuum to around 6 inches at the peak, so we believe 1120hp is in hand once the vacuum issue is resolved, but the torque curve was extremely flat and I'm sure once this baby gets a sniff of the funny stuff it's going to make some big power ... ... Dick's engine is a purpose built 13 to 1 N20 Combo, so we obviously are excited to get some compression n/a versions together using the CV330/Raceplate heads and Roland Racing's CNC ported cast tunnel ram which was used on this engine, and while we have high hopes for the even larger development ports (CV345, CV365, CV385) we can't wait to see what some compression will do using the same top end as Fulton's ... Congrats to all involved!
Nice hint of potential these heads have for NA power! I too cant wait to see NA build numbers with these ports, let alone the larger ports you've already developed. Norwalk should be interesting! |

Congratulations! The long wait was well worth it.

So where is the thread with the predicted Horsepower numbers started a while ago?

Awesome job Bill, Jim,Dick et al!
I have been off the boards for a while so it is good to see a real potent Pontaic come to life. Looks like it will shape up to be a good season. Congrats again. Doc

... thanks guys, we feel this is a good starting point for the new development level heads and we have some cool stuff in the works, i really look forward to maximizing the CV-1 design and figure out just how much power we can squeeze from them ... ... here is a dyno graph of our best pull, thought it was worth a look ... |

Tom V. (I could create a excel document with HP and torque numbers vs rpm in 20 minutes that would say my 64 Chassis car made 2000 hp.)

... and i thought the vertical entry intake ports (straight up & down) of your billet heads was kinda cute too, considering you have a billet tunnel ram and twin dominators bolted to them ...
... now go ahead and call someone and ask them wth I'm talking about, because i know you won't have a clue ... |

... and yet again, same bias behavior from you Tom, why haven't you asked Jack for his dyno sheet ?? ... ... and i can promise you, after all the design flaw related crap you've spewed about these heads, you are the last person we'd ever ask or want to calculate anything, you really couldn't have been more wrong about the CV-1 head Tom ... ... your opinion is honestly worth about to any CV-1 guy, myself included ... |
