I recently replaced the engine in my 91 grand prix with an engine out of a 94 corsica. basically only the block and heads were the same so i swapped everything but them. it runs great. no check engine light coming on but, the check gauges light comes on for about 10 mins every time i start it. all my gauges seem to work fine and everyting reads ok. i cant figure it out.

Have you deciphered the code that the light is transmitting?

AutoZone will give you a FREE key and booklet that tells you how to read the codes from the check-engine light. Could be as simple as emptying out the message, and then all will be fine.

you dont understand, the check engine light never comes on, just the check gauges light. sometimes its on for awhile and goes off, sometimes it stays on
