Hi Guys,

Being laid off and unemployed for well over a year, I need to start selling some of my Pontiac stuff that I had for future projects but will not get to before I run out of money. So if you can give me an idea of how much this stuff is worth, I can post it here on the PY site for other Pontiac people who might need them.

1) A set of 4 1966 Pontiac rally 1 wheels with centers and after market original rings. This is an original set had them for over 20 years, mounted on tires. Excellent condition but do not know the code because of having tires mounted?

2) 1965 tri-power intake in great shape except when I purchased it someone welded the heat tube areas shut, other than that in really great shape and have used it about 20 years ago. I am missing the front carb due to a fire, but have the center and the rear., and 3 repo chrome air cleaners with paper elements?

3) 1966 tri-power intake, needs to be tanked or blasted, a couple broken studs need to extracted, no carbs, linkage or waterneck, just the intake?

4) 1965 421 WG block with matching arma steel crank. Missing the 4 bolt caps but comes with 2 bolt caps. Bores measure 4.09, crank measure 3.25. Block should be tanked and bored to desired size, crank should be turned has surface rust on the journals?

5) 1968 Pontiac 400 YC motor. This was pulled about 3 years ago and was running when pulled, I replaced with the motor in my signature. This motor was my pride and joy and has great power. Motor has 3.75 stroke arma steel crank, polished 58-62 forged rods, trw 30 over pistons, clevite bearings, crane cam flat hydraulic 495/510 lift, 1968 #16 heads, have been ported and bowled flowed 250 at 600 lift, misplaced sheet, crane springs to match cam, stamp steel 1.65 rockers, polished torker 1 intake, R.A.R.E. 1967 Pontiac HO cast iron headers, chrome tall baffled valve covers, timing cover, water pump, pulleys, dist w/ accel hi-po points, condensor, cap & rotor and accel yellow superstock wires?

6) 1965 power brake booster and master cylinder, removed from car due to new motor, no room between valve covers and booster and not enough vacuum, worked great when pulled 1 year ago?

7) A set of 1974 4X-1H heads, screw in studs, big chamber 455 heads, these need to be redone, was going to use these to build a blower motor with the 421 block, but obviously that is no longer going to happen?

Let me know what you guys think a good listing price for these items would be. I have no idea what price to put on them, I don't want to over price them so they don't sell, but I don't want to under price so I am giving them away. I know this is not the time to sell, but time knows no boundry when bills are due and no money available.

hey mark ! the only trouble is ebay is only good for "dumping stuff" any more. gott be a good deal or folks dont want it !

1. maybe 300.00 (gotta be someone who wants period correct wheels)
2. 65 tri-power (incomplete...original carbs or replacements ?
(original 500.00 no original 200.00)
3. 100.00 (clean and paint first !)
4. 150.00-250.00
5. 1,500.00 (i just saw a fresh 455 not sell for a high bid of 1650.00)
6. 100.00 ? (dont know about this item)
7. 150.00 as cores....

sorry the numbers are not higher but i think these prices would sell which is the goal. i would dump the stuff you know you wont use for cheap and hold onto the stuff you cant get your money back on (like the complete motor...its just not worth the hit on value....)

I will take my chances with my prices, i am not in that much of a hurry and I know these items are worth more, just not the time to sell.

I think my prices are fair....

I can wait.

If I get to the point where it is the house or the parts, I will send the parts over to EBAY, I know I can get closer to my prices there.

Here people want everything for nothing, I have sold some stuff on here where I basically gave it away, but I am not doing it with this stuff.

This is almost exactly the combination of parts I have collected for my motor, only missing the heads because they're still in the machine shop, and going with a factory manifold. What kind of power did you make? Did you get any runs in at the track with it?

Never ran this motor at the track, but it had good power. I would estimate 425 to 450 hp. Behind a 4 speed and 3:90 gears, I could pull away from a stop in 4th gear without any bucking or shaking. When this motor was in the car I also had an offy 2x4 intake on it with 2 edelbrock 600 carbs which dumped at the same time. Had no problem taking the fuel. It was wild.

I was down the track once with an original 389 with tripower behind a 2speed auto and went 14.6. This motor felt like mid to high 12's per the seat of the pants feel. If you build your motor very similar to this motor, you will have fun with it.

sorry mark I wasnt trying to low-ball you. i just know from my own experience people never think your stuff is worth what you think it is. i often have to go low to get it to sell !!!

No problem, I understand completely, If I was working these items wouldn't be up for sale.

Unfortunately most of the prices quoted here are far less than what I actually purchased the parts for many years ago.

In my situation, it wouldn't make sense to loose money, I am already loosing a tons of money everyday, I need to start making a little. I am just going by prices of what I have seen over the past couple of months.

ralley ones sound like maybe 600 in excellent condition with trims and centers. Really good tires maybe 7-800.
