Maybe I wont have to update much of this anymore ,since its now found out to be a fraud and even the media is starting to wake up and report it...but anyway for amusement here are 3 recent noteworthy items.
++++++++++++++++= Below is a map from www.slf.ch which shows the % of snowfall across Switzerland as compared to the long-term mean. 1942 ![]() As you can see, several areas are more than 200% of normal, with a few stations over 500%. Still early, but I think the data last year was exactly the same. So, whether it's due to global warming, PDO/AMO shifts or just highlighting high early snowfall levels at sunspot minimum, it seems that we're having some 'local difficulty' in explaining why ski resorts will all open up this weekend to bumper conditions. ++++++++++++++++

and since its snowing in Houston today , the earliest ever...as a new record...but of course "it just one day", so not important ! LOL
+++++++++++++++++ Climate Change 'Fraud' By John Ingham 2 Dec 09 - (Excerpts) - The scientific consensus that mankind has caused climate change was rocked yesterday as a leading academic called it a “load of hot air underpinned by fraud”. Professor Ian Plimer condemned the climate change lobby as “climate comrades” keeping the "gravy train" going. Prof Plimer said Governments were treating the public like “fools” and using climate change to increase taxes. He said carbon dioxide has had no impact on temperature and that recent warming was part of the natural cycle of climate stretching over billions of years. Prof Plimer - author of Heaven and Earth: Global Warming, The Missing Science - said climate change was caused by natural events such as volcanic eruptions, the shifting of the Earth’s orbit and cosmic radiation. He said: “Carbon dioxide levels have been up to 1,000 times higher in the past. CO2 cannot be driving global warming now." “In the past we have had rapid and significant climate change with temperature changes greater than anything we are measuring today. They are driven by processes that have been going on since the beginning of time.” And he predicted that the next phase would cool the planet. The talks at Copenhagen are expected to find ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions globally. But Professor Plimer, of Adelaide and Melbourne Universities, said that to stop climate change Governments should find ways to prevent changes to the Earth’s orbit and ocean currents and avoid explosions of supernovae in space. Professor Plimer suggested many scientists had a vested interest in promoting climate change because it helped secure more funding for research. See entire great article: http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/143573/Climate-change-fraud- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++= Deliberate distortion of climate data by Alan Caruba 1 Dec 09 - (Excerpts) - "The tragedy of the global warming fraud will be a generation whose faith in climate science will have been severely shaken. They will have witnessed the deliberate distortion of climate data for a political objective. Who can trust the “science” produced by NASA and other U.S. agencies that have benefited from billions in grants directed at so-called climate, i.e. global warming research? These organizations must now publicly admit to their role in advancing this international fraud and must take steps to correct the record, to examine the data of those courageous climatologists, meteorologists and others who, while barred from having their work appear in the IPCC reports, did not shrink from sharing it with the public. It won’t be easy. The President of the United States, despite lofty statements in support of science, is totally committed to the fraudulent “science” of “global warming.” He has surrounded himself with people associated with the fraud, from his “Science Czar” to his “Climate Czar”, as well as appointments such as the Director of the Environmental Protection Agency. All of this is a national disgrace and remains, in the form of the Cap-and-Trade legislation awaiting a vote in the Senate, a threat to the nation’s economic recovery and to the faith that Americans have always had in legitimate science. See all of this article, entitled "Leading U.S. Science Groups Endorsed the Global Warming Fraud" http://factsnotfantasy.blogspot.com/2009/12/leading-us-science-groups-endorsed.html

Yeah I see you are under a winter weather advisory today. It snowed here Wednesday morning and it might again later today. We're supposed to have flurries today and a hard freeze (27*) tonight.
That's too cold for me to comfortably work in the garage and I am just about ready to refire this thing. Damn global warming.

This whole "climate change" thing is an excellent example of how easy it is to control the weak-minded in this country. Gore of course knows this, and the end result is that he gets the taxpayers help to make him a billionaire, he gets his own auto company, and he's laughing all the way to the bank.
Gore used a tactic that's been the main reason this country has collapsed financially and morally in the past 10 years. He built up a trust in the American people, then calculated out how to bilk them for the most amount of money without having to pay anything himself. He's just like a televangelist. He used the "give me money, and I will relieve your guilt" tactic. If you disagree with Al Gore, you're called an irresponsible, selfish person that doesn't care about the future of our children. Another classic Liberal tactic: when all else fails, "think of the children, pleeease think of the children!" That works every time. Not sure if this was discussed before, but I laughed when I saw that clip of an Al Gore speech, when he took questions from the audience. One man stood up and asked the smiling, cordial Mr. Gore if he was aware that there are a greater number of polar bears today than there were 15 years ago. Immediately, Gore's smile disappeared and he turned into the "angry teacher", and said, "Do you think polar bears are endangered?", to which the man said again, "...there are more polar bears today than there were 15 years ago". Gore would not answer the man's question, he just kept repeating himself, trying to get the guy to admit that polar bears were "in danger". Gore was really upset about that one. Someone actually was trying to debate him, the Great Albert Gore, King Of The Climate Change, the Green Czar. Most Americans seem to living in a childlike dream world, and politicians prey on that, promising a garden of eden down the road if you just pay up now. I think in years to come, this while climate change/Al Gore thing will be remembered as the greatest Ponzi scheme of the them all. But it will be a tough egg to break, because Gore preys on the simple fact that whenever it's a cold day, it's due to global warming, when it's hot, it's because of global warming, when it rains, or snows, or it's cloudy, it's because of global warming. So his tactic is to just "give me money, and I will fix everything". You have to admit, it's brilliant in its simplicity. He's the Climate Televangelist of our era.

Anthropogenic global climate change may or may not be occurring. That's not the point. The point is that ALL of the evidence in support of it has now been called into question. Therefore, if we are going to be asked to subject our economy to limitations of so called green house emissions, then it is only prudent for us to ask for some actual scientific data to back up their claims. I suspect that should take a few decades for some REAL scientists to compile and quantify. If the data at that time suggests that we are responsible for this climate change, then come back and talk to us. Until then, STFU!

Well Mike, it's time to stop talking and get busy voting! No partisanship here either. It's time to vote all the bums out, regardless of party affiliation. Anyone who now turns to the data in question as proof for their "green" agenda should be looked at with extreme skepticism.
Again, I'm not saying that man made climate change isn't happening. All I'm saying is that people who do believe that it's happening need to start from scratch with their research. Once they have some real science to present to us, then maybe we'll talk.

agreed, we "could" be responsible for maybe 1/10 %, but the climate cycles have always been here, and always will be...to basically ban mankind from doing anything is just bad science......the sun and the planets insides have always impacted climate...and what we see is 99.9 % that! when "proof" is flawed and twisted, like in Als movie...the "greens" made it worse for themselvres....who is going to believe the "proof" next time? I wont, didnt this time either ,but had doubts for awhile...no more.

Grant I agree. The big difference between the two sides is that one wants to take over economies and dictate standards of living and one doesn't.
Bjorn, when I wrote; "I'm not saying that man made climate change isn't happening." I was simply, for the sake of argument, establishing that if it were being caused by us the current data could not be used to defend the position any more. I personally don't think that we have any, significant or otherwise, effect on the global weather patterns on this planet. It's a form of insanity to think otherwise.

Hey Bjorn, the sun cycle is coming around again, might be headed for an upswing. You know when it does they will all point to how much hotter its getting. Everyone conveniently forgot that hockey stick graph back in 98 that showed temps going through the roof.
Me? Well I find things out for myself rather than believe the talking heads on TV. Are we affecting the climate? Maybe. Are we affecting the air quality? Definitely. Is CO2 a pollutant? With record crops and plants needing CO2 I would say no, unless we clear cut the entire planet and pave it, then yeah its a problem. Im not going to pay Al so I can feel better, not when he lives like he does. |

How did we ever get to the place where we are even asking the question whether or not a gas, which is required for survival by every single thing on the planet that contains chlorophyll, could possibly be classified as a pollutant? It's pure madness!

I noticed several articles in the Sunday papers today about the doom and gloom of "climate change". They were all very long and very prominent in each paper. There was no mention in any of them of the data integrity problems that have recently come to light. Doesn't the UN meet on December 9 about this issue? I think the articles were all written some time ago for publication just prior to this conference.

Arent most people who are believing in us being liable for Cilmate change also believe in Evolution??
wh would we stop evolution? the Earth and animals including Humans have evolved....but suddenly we as humans have decided evoltion has to stop and everything needs a status quo? we need to save all endangered species and stop climate and temperature change? isnt that playing God? let the world keep changing , species too, they come and go, its part of "life"

Yep, I too have noticed a huge surge in from the Liberal media during the past week reminding people about how we (humans) ruined the planet. You have to remember, the Climate Change fear mongers have a HUGE vested interest in this deal, to the tune of trillions of dollars, so now that they received a big black eye this past week, they have to come out swinging.
It's like when a televangelist is exposed by the media, found to have a mistress on the side, a 5 million dollar mansion, and a private jet, all paid for by the brain dead fanatics that write checks to relieve their guilt. Al Gore, Jesse Jackson, John Edwards, etc. Some people simply won't admit they were fooled. The worst part about this mess is how rich Al Gore has become. Using his tactics, he swindled $550 million of the taxpayers money to build his own car company in Europe, and a trillion + dollars have gone to wasted projects.

The climate change summit started today.
According to the news, so many delegates are flying private jets in , that they can't park all of them in Denmark. Some will have to be flown to neighboring countries to park. Also on the news, the delegates will require 1200 limosines. Denmark doesn not have 1200 limosines...they are shipping ones in from Germany, France, etc. to take up the slack. And these hypocrites will sit around and cluck about us evil people from big countries burning fossil fuel. I sure don't have any tolerance for hypocrites. The summit has 2 stated goals. 1) discuss how to limit CO2 2) discuss how developed countries (read the USA) need to pay $$ to underpriveliged countries to punish us for years of success. I think the UN agenda is primarily focused on #2, but #1 is the magician's sleight-of-hand. FWIW: Eric |
