If the salary really didn't matter, what job would you choose for a career?
Something you'd really enjoy doing 5 days a week. |

I'd work in the shop being a helper/learning various trades at Hendrick Motorsports.

If salary didn't matter, I'd still do what I do... I'd just do it a little slower.
![]() BTW, I'm a self-employed residential building contractor.

I'd gladly go back to the railroad. Being an engineer was my dream throughout childhood, and I actually got to do it for about a year.
Nothing like 13,500 horsepower at your fingertips, fighting a bucking, heaving 7,000 ton train down a mountain. Britt

Hmmm, wiring tube amplifiers on rainy days, rebuilding TH400s with R&R on warm dry days, then when evening comes, discussing the Gospel in bars, with beef&beer.

Seriously though, as a mechanical engineer and a former combat engineer, I'd like a job designing weapons of some sort.
That, or Jessica Alba's pool boy would be fine by me. But she'd probably have to release the restraining order first.

I wouldn't mind doing what I do now- telephone repairman. Always moving around, no real stress, hardly ever see the boss and I'm always working with my hands.
