is it normal for original dist to be very hard to pull out.i am having hard time must use pry bar and still tough.yes bolt and hold down plate are removed

I have had some so galled in that it took a pipe wrench to remove them. They broke apart taking them out.

Can of good quality spray carb cleaner....
Berryman, Gumout, STP, K&W, etc. |

As Sun Tuned said plus keep twisting it and spraying it. Once it starts coming up a little spray some more ,twist some more. It'll come out.

Take your time. The last time I got in a hurry with one broke the shaft andhad to take it out one piece at a time. Not fun.

Wrong oil will sludge the bottom of the distributer causing it not to come out. Good luck
