Default help, vent window tab broke

my vent window tab, the one at the bottom that holds the window in place in the frame and has a series of washers, a spring and a bolt. has broke off from the chrome that goes around the window. Is there any way of repairing this? It looks like pot metal so should I assume welding is out of the question? Any advice would be appreciated.

You'll have to replace it. The same thing happened to a friend of mine with his 64 Corvette. It was the day before he was getting judged for NCRS Top Flight and I didn't have time to change it before you had to load up and go. I put expoxy on the two pieces and clamped it. It held long enough for him to get his top flight award. I changed the vent asm. a week later.
