If I'd had a good place to paint mine, I would have done it a month ago. I know that several people on this thread have done an excellent job on their own...and whether they had others critiquing the work before paint, I don't know.... but I am glad I didn't paint mine before having several sets of eyes to look at it first. They saw things that I did not. I still feel like I could paint it but this time, I'm just going to watch and learn mostly.

Ken, I doubt that paint has started flying yet. I haven't been down since week before last but I'm going tomorrow. I'll update IF there's anything to report. It's been raining like crazy here lately.

Looking good Greg! Your '68 sure has come a long way since you first posted on it, it's been good inspiration to all of us with a big project car.
![]() What AC unit do you have or is it an AC delete set up? It looks like you've got a lot more room by the rear of the engine with that set up. |

Just looked at the date of your last post...I can't believe it's been almost 8 months since you dropped it off! What took him so long? I thought you had most of the bodywork done?

Those 2 consecutive photos of the RH side really show how much meridian turq changes in different light. I think that looks exactly like my hue.

65Mark...I have no idea...That's Benny working on it in the pics. He sprayed it also. Once I took it there, I just stepped out of the way and let them handle it. He's a good painter and body guy. I've been messing around with this car so long, I'll bet there's quite a few members that weren't even around when I did all that metal replacement in the roof and stuff.
steve v, I did an AC delete box. IF I ever decide to go back with A/C, I'm sure it won't be the stock suitcase. It'll be something like the Vintage Air setups I've seen. Much cleaner under the hood. 400 4spd (Steve)... OMG..don't remind me how much time I've spent at this site in the last 10 years...lol...but I do owe that time and this place for a lot of the body and fender knowledge I've picked up over the years. Ken, yeah, it's been down there nearly 8 months. I knew that when I took it there though. It wasn't that it took that long to get it right, I had it pretty close... it was just getting to it that took a while... The driver's quarter to trunk area took a little work to get right and I was burnt out on going back over areas that I had already 'finished'... I'm friends with the guys down there so it was a kind of a 'we'll get to it when we get to it' between other jobs kind of deal and that was alright with me at the time. Jeremy, you are so right about the Meridian Turquoise hue. I meant to take a pic of it outside but didn't get my camera out until it was back in. The two pics you see here show it with the flash and the other without. Outside looks a completely different hue than the two pics here. It has so much metal in it, it's hard to look at in bright sunlight. Charles, beargfr and 2002, Thanks! I'm getting excited over the car again and really, sending it down there was partly because I was getting burned out on it. New paint and a few months away from it are just what the Dr. ordered!

Yes I can Tempest. Looking forward to the coming Spring with renewed interest now.
LOL....yeah, just about anything you need and Dennis knows where most of it is believe it or not. By the way, this is the place that's spraying it for me. [url]http://www.allmusclecars.com[url] I've known Dennis for 15 years or more. It's not a body shop but a resto shop with a paint booth. Specializes in Pontiac and Chevy/Corvette
