In the late 70s my Dad was the used car manager at a Chevy dealership north of Seattle. You'd see these odd combinations once and a while. The joke was that GM would just throw together any parts left over at the end of the model year and ship them.
One in particular was a 1973 Chevelle Laguna. Leather interior, swivel bucket seats, cruise control, AM/FM 8-track stereo, rear window defrost, and a 3-on-the-tree transmission.
