Your right, the sound deadner is somewhat significant but T-37 recieved a rubber mat instead of lighter weight carpet in Lemans thru GTO. Sound insulation should weight more than the T-37 mat. I'd have to check the 71 assembly manual again since it does list what series cars received it. Underhood insulation is less than a pound. Trim rings where a GT-37 thing in terms of base options.
