Default Accel warranty repair

Has anyone dealt with the ignition products company Accel (a division of Mr. gasket now) with getting warranty repair on ignition prodects?

I bought one of their 300+ electronic ignition boxes (the box says it has a lifetime warranty hence one of the reasons I purchased it) and its never worked since I Installed it. It doesnt deliver a spark to the distributor. Ive talked to tech support several times (a couple of them were the rudest support people Ive ever dealt with) and finally a nice support guy said just ship it to the warranty repair facility and have them fix it. He didnt give me a repair number to send it by or anything of the sort.

So, I'm worried that if I send it there they will say they never got it (because of the no repair # etc), or they will send me a huge bill eventhough the thing has a lifetime warranty. I love it when you spend a ton of money on some product and then when it doesnt work the tech support people try to blame it on you as the reason the product is a POS.
