Props to Scarebird
Just wanted to throw my $.02 out there concerning Scarebird and his front disc brake conversion on my 66 GTO. One of the main reasons that I decided on his conversion kit/plan was that I wanted to retain the option to switch back and forth between my original 14' wheels and my new 15' Rally II wheels as desired. None of the other kits would do that.
Scarebird's conversion went very well for me, and I just want to reiterate that you can, indeed, run 14' wheels in his conversion. I did have some issues with Inline Tube and their hard lines, and we also found it necessary to customize (shorten) the vacuum cylinder push rod in the power brake booster in order for the master cylinder to work, but that does not necessarily have anything to do with Scarebirds conversion kit. All in all, I give high marks to Scarebird! Thanks Mark for all the help you offered me over the phone. For those considering a disc brake conversion, I would happily recommend you contact Scarebird.
