I converted to disks on my '67 with scarebird brackets. Here is a quick breakdown and a pic of my conversion if that helps you on your decision.
Scarebird brackets ($115.00). Remove backing plate, turn axle on stock drum spindle ($75.00) (10) 1/2" Longer press-in studs ($1.25 ea.) Wilwood 4 piston Dynalite calipers ($125.00 ea.) Wilwood pads ($54.00) Wilwood proportioning valve ($42.00) C5 vette rear rotors, cross drilled and plated ($89.00) Earl's ss brake lines ($22.00 ea.) adapter fittings ($10.00) I think it is a pretty nice setup for under $800.00 and should be alot better performing than some old cheby S-10 disc conversion.
