He needs a different converter not more rpm or a different cam, MD.

Agreed, a converter change would help his situation, but overall, REAL performance gains will be realized by keeping the engine in the highest average HP range. Ken's Power range with those CV1's and what, 515 cubes? What do the heads generally flow? Tom, how many HP are Ken's heads capable of producing?
