My wife is a fanatic about her clothes. The new front load washer/ dryers will clean better and do less damage to clothes. She has made this very clear to me and I totally believe what she says as all husbands should.
I do see a major improvement in the whites. My shorts actually come out white again.
As to how much the front load washers will hold/wash. My 4.0 cubic foot LG will flat wash more clothes, like twice as much as our old top loader. We might have to agree to disagree on this but that is what I have seen.
