A nut splitter might work if there is enough room to use one.
I think, I would cut the bracket before I would tear the line up, if I couldn't get the nut loose.
It would take some time but you might grind a side off the nut with a Dremel tool and get it loose.

Just caught this thread, hope it's not too late.
Not too late yet,I stopped before i did anything I would regret,does anyone repro this part?
