When I ordered my G8, the dealer (In my case it was Enterprise Fleet Leasing working with their "favorite Pontiac dealer") had to "Tag" a car that was either already produced or scheduled to be produced. Once they Tagged my car, we could then follow its progress through the system. I actually have the build sheet for it (there were two, one in the glove box and one under the trunk mat) but neither of them say "TAG" or anything else hand-written for that matter. Just a thought.

I agree; "Tagging" is still the word choice that is used today to describe setting aside a particular vehicle for employee purchase. I had kind of come to this same conclusion regarding these build sheets except for the earlier comment about seeing so many from the Pontiac plant ("tagged" vehicles would be the exception rather than the rule).
