^^ Excellent advice above.
My first car went to a scrap yard & was crushed. I'll never get to drive it again  It was a '76 Grand Prix SJ with 400/TH400, Bucket seats, etc. It started a long line of GP's (5 total), and Pontiacs. I someday will own another '76 GP.
