Default Muffler configuration for 1st gen Firebird

Hey huys, did some searching and did not find a clear answer. Gonna get my exhaust together for the '68 and need to know what muffler configuration gives the best fit.

I know I would prefer offset/ offset, but think it may present fitment problems. Is offset/ center the accepted "proper" way to go?

Thanks guys, I hope to get this going before the weekend.

Dave
