Polar - Not sure what you mean by a purpose built car but here is a link to a 2nd gen. with Caltracs and leaf springs running pretty well into the 7s. As far as I know stock frame rails with the necessary safety equipment. Not sure how much it weighs but I would guess it is more then 3200lbs given the class he is running in. Oh yeah, it is not a Pontiac but it is a 2nd gen.
