In regards to that shot of the GP car going down the road...i saw that on the HAMB site and many pages later read the story behind it. 1960 (?) US GP...apparently the pits were not completed, or up to scratch, so the GP teams rented workshops in the nearby town and had the O.K. from the local Police Department to drive the race cars to the track!! Fact or fiction? I don't know, but it is a top photo.

I'm upto about page 260 out of 600+ pages on that HAMB site...so many great shots there.
