Default Is Eastwood Welder OK?

I have to put a patch on a fender, which gives me a reason to try and learn to weld.

Is this welder on sale at Eastwood for $299 good enough quality or should I look for a name brand ?

http://www.eastwood.com/mig-welder-1...5a-output.html

I have read a lot of advice on this forum and seems the features on this Eastwood are desireable, but others recommend spending more for a name brand. Seems any name brand with a switched voltage control will run $350 and up (like this Hobart http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...ven=Aggregates), and one with a rheostat like the Eastwood will be over $500.

I would rather buy from Eastwood than Harbor Fright, but maybe there are other off-brands that are better than this Eastwood for the money?

Thanks for any feedback on the Eastwood or recommendations for a low-cost alternative.
