check out how ford engineers redesigned the hanger bearing on their new trucks. this is a 2009 with 90000kms(55000miles) . not serviceable and not available seperate from ford. local ford dealer wants $1400.00 for a new shaft that only needs a $75.00 hanger bearing. actually the bearing is fine, just the rubber mounting is wrecked. to get the guy on the road for now we welded tabs from the hanger bearing housing to the outer bearing race basically eliminating the rubber from the equasion.
also instead of that sticker on the driveshaft they should have one on the dash. SCRAP IF THIS TRUCK MAKES IT OFF WARRANTY
