Default The pump is here

OK, the pump came in today and here is the poop on it. The casting number on the impeller is 488297. There is also a BD cast on the impeller. The width of the impeller is 4.33" and the impellers are right at 1/2" at the edge of the impeller and 5/8" at the center. When I put on the new GM divider plate without the gasket there was about 1/8" between the vane and the divider. Overall the pump is in pretty good shape considering it is 36 years old. The vanes show some wear. I definitely would recommend Mike at waterpumpman.com (248) 225-0625. He even included two gaskets. It seems like a really sound pump. I am glad I did it this way. It cost less than the so called high flow units with the cut down impellers.
Looks like 428 might have actually found a great, new unit with a good impeller.
